- Agatha All Along Review
Written by SNI 6.9/10 rating I'm not sure why they gave us this show but they did so here we are, this is basically a spinoff show off a spin off show. In all honesty, I was never interested in Agatha’s character so I didn’t understand why she was getting her own show but the MCU continues to struggle so I guess shows like this are inevitable. It starts off kind of similar to WandaVision (probably for the viewers to feel comfortable and know what to expect). But by the end of episode 1, all of that is shifted to one side and they let you know it’s gonna be a bit different this time. It then goes down the comedy/horror route which I guess is ok, but I only watched because I thought they were going to teach me more about Agatha's character. I did learn a tad about her character but the origin story didn’t really entice me so I lost interest all over again. For 8 episodes the pacing is actually quite good. My favourite concept within this show would’ve been the continuity of the character ‘Lilia’. How they portrayed her in the second episode and showed her POV later in the episode was brilliant and was really fun to watch! It made you feel like the previous episodes were not a waste, this also explained her character’s abilities, struggles and allowed us to connect with the character more. I did NOT enjoy the singing within the show, I felt it was leaning too much towards a musical and us Marvel fans didn’t sign up for that. We didn't even sign up for this series so please don’t make it worse. The plot twist at the end is also really good for the storyline. Basically, Billy is just like his mother (Wanda) and essentially created the witch's road the same way Wanda took over the small town called West View. The ending with Billy and Agatha heading out to embark on a different journey only opens more doors for the MCU to plant them anywhere they like, so I'm sure we will be seeing more of this team-up. Maybe there’ll be a season two? Or maybe we'll see them in a big blockbuster MCU film? Who knows? At least they have been given an origin and a quest for now. Personally, I'm going to give Agatha about 6/10. This show wasn't really needed but they had some really good concepts and the storytelling was good. The whole show doesn't make that much of a difference to the MCU as a whole, whereas a show like Loki for example has a big impact on the whole MCU which is what the fans want to see. I feel like all Marvel fans think like this when a new series comes out from the MCU - “How does this show impact the upcoming Marvel movies? Because that's the only reason I'm here. If it doesn't have an impact, then it’s no good to us." Sorry MCU, I believe you can do better.
- Is Cobra Kai's Tanner Emmanuel Buchanan (Robbie) Perfect For Live-Action Sasuke?
Naruto Live-Action Dreamers! Have we found our Sasuke? Intro Tanner Emmanuel Buchanan is well-known for his role as Robbie in Cobra Kai. This is where I saw the performance that gave me Sasuke vybz. He was able to show aggression, inner conflict, ambition and good physical capabilities for the taijutsu smoke. Performance in Cobra Kai Tanner is a very engaging actor (similarly to Sasuke), his character Robbie goes through a few of his own personal arcs and sways in his emotions (that makes me think, maybe I agree that Sasuke is a Emo). The troubled youth, prodigal athlete, competing with his nemesis, then, rival to dream-team tag-team (with Xolo Mariduena’s Miguel character). He has demonstrated different energy. Physical Capabilities. I definitely believe Tannner would be capable of more intense martial arts brought to us by our revered Taijutsu. Even though the action in Cobra Kai isn't Ip Man style realism, you can plainly see his physical capabilities. I'm no martial expert but I've seen him do turning back kicks, 360s and some stuff in the latest episode that reminded me of Lions Barrage! Naruto or Naruto Shippuuden? This is when we have to be more critical of the idea. Tanner is 25 years old and may be in the final tears of a teenage look. It may be difficult to have him as a 12 year-old Sasuke but I can definitely see him as a slightly more mature Sasuke in Shippuden. Conclusion Tanner has charisma and athleticism which very key to playing Sasuke. If he was ever able to get the role somehow, I believe he would do it justice.
- Bleach TYBW: Season 3 Episode 7 - Gate of The Sun (Review)
Spoiler Alert Pacing & Raising The Stakes Some storylines enable writers to have several peaks in their story that allows viewer's emotions to go up and down. Bleach has been able to do this well with its three seasons. This episode, we find ourselves in Yhwach’s final lair and another cool stage has been set for more exciting fights. Only the Elite Remain Renji vs Uryuu This was a majestic roaring fight (even though it was'n the longest). Episode 7 allowed both parties to show the best of themselves with a little back-and-forth. The animation was clean, the dialogue was just right and there a good mix of technical fighting, splashed with explosive tsunamis of energy attacks. Uryu has behaved in his role with intensity. We understand he has chosen his style but he still shows glimmers of inner conflict. Has he shown restraint? The Captains and Vice-Captains Am I the only one enjoying seeing the top ranking officers operate in these small units? A saw a little Naruto vybz (small powerful squads). It’s so satisfying seeing all the most popular and powerful shinigami manoeuvre shoulder-to-shoulder. Every time I saw Urahara with the Gotei 13, I was smiling. There were many wholesome moments as he interacted with his former comrades. Allies Episode 7 has given fans Nel and Grimmjow! Two more of the many allies we have seen this season that previously appeared in the series. Imagine Ulquiorra was here! The interactions felt natural under the circumstances. I would like to know more about the state of Hueco Mundo post-Aizen. Spiritual Pressure Let’s talk about spiritual pressure. The anime on a whole looks great but the reishi really stands out to me. I especially appreciate the texture, glow and minuscule dense particles flowing through. This was a heart-racing episode and there is even more greatness to come
- From: Season 3 Episode 8 Review
Finally! Answers! Yes From fans, we finally have some answers. The children, the Faraway Tree, dimensions and time travel are all weaving into a clearer tapestry. I bet the teasing lore dump by boy in white had viewers rewinding and raising the volume a few times. I know I did. Episode 8 was informative and intense. We learned more about what has happened in the previous seasons and the in-show history. The mystique of the show is powerful. Every episode I learn something, the new information makes me feel slightly appeased. Its like the revelations reset my threshold a little but and I become refreshed (ready to start the journey again). But then the episode ends!! Hopefully you get that feeling when you watch From or any other show that slowly reveals its truth. The Final two episodes could be some of the best yet. I wonder how many more truths will be revealed
- Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 3 Episode 6 Review
Every episode of Bleach: TYBW reminds watchers why Bleach is one of the GOATs. Good to see you Grimmjow. What Seperated Bleach From Its Peers? Let's think of a few different anime, HXH, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, FMA. These are arguably a few of a the best shonen released anime from 2002 - 2011. When I'm arguing with my anime friends about the GOAT anime, sometimes I take turns defending different ones. But even though I love Bleach and it is my favourite at times, I rarely put it as the GOAT. Bleach undoubtedly has strong points for example its action, music, art, animation and cool characters. For me, the only thing that separated Bleach from possibly being the best of the bunch was the depth of its story. Naruto and One Piece in particular have layers and intricate weaves of storylines, a big contributor to why they are revered as the best of their era. TYBW is a great opportunity for Bleach lore to form in the eyes of the viewers, giving us more to wonder about and become attached to. Features like Pre-Gotei 13 history. The Soul King. The separation of the three worlds and Ichigo's true origins have helped to give a lot more body to the Bleach universe. Could we even get an anime for the Hell Chapter? During the original run, Bleach's art and animation blew me away. The character designs and overall style were a big contrast to One Piece and Naruto. Being released with modern-day animation techniques should remind everyone that Bleach is DIFFERENT. Everything hits! pacing, music and action. My one request is please, please...animate adult Toshiro.
- Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 6 Review
This episode was great! The final season is shaping up to peak at a very intense point. Episode 6 General Vybe Its hard to talk about this episode without referencing the series as a whole. Episode 6 continues to bring viewers along a journey with relatable stories, thrilling comic book imagination and high stakes. This episode managed to defeat a villain and possibly raise another to new, devastating heights. I imagine that viewers were left with major intrigue into how the climax will be settled. Will it be a super-powered fight? Or might we have a toe-to-toe battle of man vs man. We also get to observe how superpowers can change a personality, no matter who you are, for better or for worse. You may find yourself questioning your feelings towards Lex Luther, contemplating your parenting skills or reminiscing about your own growth in your teenage years. Just another example of the well-balanced multitude of themes that are consistently present every episode. Emotion This episode was filled with emotion as usual. Things got intense when I saw Superman boil with rage. That reminded me of the Justice League series when Superman let loose on Darkseid to stop his conquest of Earth. He let loose and fought with fire! Favourite Moments Lois Lane completed a master plan to appeal to the heart of Doomsday. Superman rushes home in desperation to say he had no way to defeat him (the world ending monster). Lois Lane curls up on a port chair with a glass of wine in her hand and says something like ‘Sit and watch the fireworks with me.’ with a smirk on her face Like Superman only lost a pillow fight with Doomsday. Hilarious!! Conclusion This is one of the best Superhero series ever. It does DC proud. I wish we had more seasons but all good things must come to an end….Expect One Piece. - Rebel Ridge (Netflix) Spoiler Free Review
From start to finish, this movie was captivating. You will enjoy this you like: - Military related plot lines. - Entertaining villains. - Hand-to-hand and shoot-em up action - Stoic main characters. - Humor with great timing. - Relatable life circumstances….Let me stop the list there (I could add more!). Aaron Pierre Mr Pierre delivers a performance with genuineness, charisma and aura. Get ready to test your emotional spectrum because his versatility is excellent. He gives you moments of danger, sensitiveness, morality and humour. You will feel every moment with his character, whether you agree with his decisions or not. As a DC fan, it was great to see who our new John Stewart Green Latern will be. I’m exciiiiiiitedd. Plot After seeing the trailer, I wondered how many layers the plot could have (as it was set in a small country town). From the promotional material, viewers could tell that there was a theme of corruption but Rebel Ridge delivers its story in a way where it felt like there were 3 arcs in the story. Each arc grew in intensity and smoothly grew from its predecessor. At the end of each arc I almost felt like I would be satisfied if the movie finished at that moment and this happened two or three times. I think this shows how strong the story is throughout the film. Cast Every single cast member in this movie gives their full support. And when I say every single member, I mean every single one. Regardless of who appeared on the screen, I was captivated by their words, body language, and the emotions they conveyed in each moment. Conclusion This movie is intelligent, thrilling, and engaging. I found the real-life humor enjoyable. You won't be let down. Warning! You may find yourself doing a fist-pump at some point. Hahaha :) #review #netlflix #aaronpierre #blog

- Is Netflix's Avatar: The Last Air Bender The Best Live-Action Adaptation of All Time?
I loved it! Goosebumps every episode. This is an example of an adaptation that fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender can be proud of. Story Telling The show does well to keep key aspects from the original plot while progressing on a 10 episode schedule. You will spend a lot of time with the main cast and sometimes be pulled into several paths that all smoothly entangle. Some details have changed but not to a level that should deter any viewers. More of a "Oh, that's how they changed it." type vybe. Characters The characters are portrayed well and they carry the core features of the original characters. you will instantly recognise your favourite animated characters inside these actors. Wardrobe The fits were top teir! Great costumes that locked like real cultural expressions, Set Designs I was so grateful for the care put into the set designs and CGI backgrounds. The visual barrier is one of the biggest challenges that live-action adaptations have and this was beautiful to see. Action/Bending Choreography that makes you go "Ooooooo" and put a hand to your mouth. Straight hands! Smoke! Yes, you will not be disappointed. Conclusions I know that enough adaptations haven't been done well but I feel that fans of animation have to go through those sometimes disappointing experiences so we can establish our material in the TV and cinematic spaces. Top level stuff. Avatar fans will love it. The quality of the show will have appeal to fantasy, action, martial arts and youth-led casts! Have a look at our breakdown of Season 1!
