Prepare to be immersed in a world where the lines between right and wrong blur, where rivals lurk in every corner, and the fight for survival is a daily struggle. Meet the Duttons At the heart of this epic is John Dutton, played with stoic intensity by the iconic Kevin Costner. While John is often seen as the central figure, Yellowstone cleverly expands its focus, highlighting the pivotal roles of his family members. The standout is undoubtedly Beth Dutton, portrayed by the fiercely talented Kelly Reilly. Her performance is nothing short of mesmerizing, a complex portrayal of strength, vulnerability, and razor-sharp intellect. You'd never guess she's not a native of Montana, a testament to her incredible acting skills. Themes The Weight of Gentrification: Yellowstone grapples with the relentless pressures of development and the clash between traditional lifestyles and modern expansion. The Complexities of Race and Ethnicity: The show delves into the intricate relationships and historical tensions with Native American communities, adding layers of depth and moral ambiguity. Nature vs. Consumerism: The series sets a powerful stage for a timeless battle – the preservation of natural beauty against the relentless march of progress and profit. Pacing Yellowstone unfolds at a measured pace, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the Duttons' world. While the overall tempo is consistent, the series strategically slows down at times, allowing you to truly absorb the gravity of events and the emotional complexities of the characters. This deliberate pace elevates the tension and keeps you invested in the long game. Visual. Spectacle Prepare to be mesmerized by the stunning cinematography that brings the breathtaking landscapes of Montana to life. Every scene is a feast for the eyes, with sparkling visuals that showcase the region’s raw beauty and captivating allure. Strengths Once you start watching Yellowstone, it's virtually impossible to stop. The series masterfully combines excellent character development, exceptional casting, top-tier acting, and a captivating plot that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. You will develop strong attachments to these characters, making every triumph and heartbreak feel deeply personal. Room for Improvement While the overarching narrative is compelling, some of the secondary plots may occasionally feel slightly unresolved or slow-paced. There is potential to further develop these sub-plots and provide a greater sense of payoff as the series progresses. However, this minor criticism is far outweighed by the strengths of the series. Why You Should Watch Yellowstone If you're looking for a series that will transport you to a world of drama, intrigue, and complex characters, Yellowstone is a must-watch. It's more than just a show; it's an experience that will leave you captivated and craving more.

- Dragon Ball Daima (Season 1 Review)
Seasons - 1 Genre - Shonen Episodes - 12 Rating - 7.5 In One Word - Reinvigorating Available on - (Crunchyroll, Netflix) This exciting series has added to the legacy of Akira Toriyama’s work and uphold's the Dragon Ball name with quality, nostalgia and innovation. Plot In the build up to the release, fans were aware of the similarity of the plot to Dragon Ball GT. After watching a few episodes of this series, you will quickly identify that Daima is set connected to the DBZ chronology and separate from DBGT. Being turned to children also poses interesting challenges to our heroes. The plot and action sequences use this predicament well and add to an engaging watch. The series will appeal to long time fans and new fans. Continuity Dragon Ball Daima is stacked with links to original Dragon Ball lore. Some observations may be overt and some need a rewind and few moments with a search engine. This characteristic adds to the genuine feel of Dragon Ball. Pacing The pacing is great. Each episode has a mixture of lore, action, humor and plot development. Art & Animation The Art and Animation of this series is top class and consistent. It firmly keeps Dragonball competing with ‘new gen’ anime while still keeping ‘OG’ dragon ball vybz. The Future Dragon Ball Animation The Dragon Ball Manga has stories left to animate; The Moro Arc, Granola Arc, Goten & Trunks Superhero story. Dragon Ball Super could provide fans with another 10 years of Dragon Ball animation. Dragon Ball continues to show why it is arguably the greatest anime of all time. Its continuity is almost unparalleled and recently managed to leave a distinguished mark in the 2010 - 2020 era of anime. The only weakness may be the slight in consistency of the animation in a few moments such as Goku vs Future Trunks (In Bulma’s sphere) Copy Vegeta Saga Goku & Tien vs Gohan & Piccolo (Tournament Training) Future Trunks vs Trunks Goku vs Zamasu (Kai Planet) I hope Dragon Ball maintains this level of art and animation. Conclusion Dragon Ball Daima holds the legacy firm and begins a new era of fun and power.

- NEW 'POWER RANGERS' FILM IS IN DEVELOPMENT
Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman reports that a new movie is in early development at Paramount. Another source, @Jinsakuu, indicates that it will be a complete reboot, unrelated to the previous Netflix project in any way. The Power Rangers film franchise attempted a revival in 2017, but that vision did not succeed. Shortly thereafter, Hasbro partnered with Netflix and Paramount to create a Power Rangers cinematic universe involving both TV and film, but nothing materialized from that effort. While no story details are available, Power Rangers fans know what to expect. Hopefully, this time the studios will engage a strong creative team that understands how to handle the franchise. A Power Rangers film franchise has the potential to be massive, but the studio must capture the tone and spirit of the classic action-adventure series and craft a story that resonates with fans and audiences alike.
- Blue Lock (Season 2: Episode 12 Review)
Seasons - 2 Genre - Sports Episodes - 24 Rating - 8.2 In one word - Striker Available on Crunchyroll (Season 1,2) Available on Netflix (Season 1) In episode 12 of Season 2 of Blue Lock, Barou showcases an incredible goal that truly exemplifies his skill and determination. The build-up to the goal is intense, demonstrating his ability to read the game and position himself perfectly. When he receives the ball, his ego drives through, and he executes a brilliant shot with precision. The fluidity of his movement and the way he navigates through defenders highlight his amazing weapon. Although Blue Lock is amazing, fans may see a potential drop off in the quality of animation compared so season 1, even so there is no reason for alarm. On the other hand, Season 1's art and animation was often compared to the art of the manga, and some fans identify a glaring gap with the manga on a prestigious pedestal. Is it possible that Blue Lock's orginal art might be challenging to adapt while still mainatining the unique nuances? Conclusion Overall, this Blue Lock episode was fantastic.

- The Best Thing About Each Live-Action Superman
(Christopher Reeves to current) Christopher Reeves - The Hope 1978 - 1987 This legend is arguably the most iconic Superman of all time. His superman glistens with optimism and positive energy. Reeve’s played an excellent Clark Kent. If you look closely at his version of the reporter, you wouldn’t find a hulking man-mountain underneath the classes and tie. You would find a very clumsy, bumbling and mild mannered man (the perfect disguise). Best; Legacy Music Dean Cain - The Clark/The Reporter 1993 - 1997 Dean Cain starred in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. What stood out to me was not his Superman, but his Clark Kent. When I think about his show, I remember interesting episodes that required a lot Clark Kent footwork. I really enjoyed the small ways he used his powers during his investigations and in his day-to-day life. It made us Animenians wonder - How would you use your superpowers at work? Cain gave us a great look into Superman’s life as a reporter and though I don’t remember many of his villains, I definitely remember his Clark’s investigative reporting. Dean Cain, your friendly neighborhood Superman. Best : Investigative Reporter lifestyle Tom Welling - The Brave/The Farmboy 2001 - 2011 Tom Welling’s Smallville may be the most beloved Superman live-action content beside Christopher Reeves' Superman. We have titled this Superman as ‘The Brave’. This is our choice because most of Smallville was focused on the teenage years of Clark Kent, and as a young man he faced endless challenges even before donning the cape and boots. It was inspiring to see a teenager accept the truth about himself and confront endless adversaires. The back drop of Smallville brings the countryside vybz to the screen. Tom Welling embodies the farmboy energy really well. Out of all the Superman actors, he felt like a genuine countryside fellow that appreciated the simple things in life. It was also interesting to see how his feelings developed from Lana Lang to Lois Lane to give us the legendary duo. Best: Opening theme (somebody saaaaaaaaveee meeee....) Lex Villans Stories Supporting Heroes (other than Henry Cavill) Brandon Routh - The Dead Plant/The Art 2006 - 2019 Brandon's Superman may have the smallest reputation on the list so it might be easier to look at his Superman turned out this way: Weaknesses Superman Returns was written to be a sequel to Reeves's Superman IV, detailing his return from deep space and the continuation of his adventures on Earth. I believe this limited the the grandure of the film as it was set in a Christopher Reeve's time period which was basically old-school. It almost looks and feels like a Film Noir. The lack of physical challenges for Routh's Superman contributed to a film not being a big enough spectacle even though the technical capabilites were there in 2006. Strengths I think Brandon Routh has the best flight scenes of all time. Great Suit Aesthetically, Superman Returns in crisp and beatuful. Colour tone wise, it may be a mix of Zak Snyder's DC and the (anticipated) brighter look of James Gunn DC. Best; - Flight scenes Henry Cavill - The Bold / The Alien 2013 - 2022 Henry Cavill descended from the stars to give us the most recent era of Superman. After years of Superman content to learn from, his superman was well-rounded as Clark and Supes. He did not have the same aura of hope as his predecessors and this brings us to the reason why - The Alien (the other title we have bestowed). Henry's Superman was set in a real-world Earth and Superman's appearances felt like something from a Sci-Fi epic. This does not take away from Cavill's Superman at all and infact makes his iteration more unique as a true alien. I could see him being called Kal-El all throught his time as the man in Blue. The Bold is the other title we (The Animenains) chose because something about him felt like he was feeling himself post Man of Steel. He had an aura of supreme confidence anytime he appeared as superman. Reember that Steppenwolf moment? "Not impressed smh." Best: Action scenes Suit Justice League Tyler Hoechlin - The Man 2016 - 2024 Tyler Hoechlin's Superman had the most unique personal setting compared to all his predecessors. His story is set after the golden years of Superman and Lois and they are well known across the world as famous reporters. They now even have teenage sons and have moved back to Smallville. We gave this Superman the title 'The Man' because he gave the most outside of the suit. He was nuturing father, a loving husband and a loyal friend. He gives considerable depth to Superman, who we often regard as unfallable. He may be the most humble and nerdy Superman of all time, his interactions with people bring out his humanity. David Conrenswet - The New 2025 - onwards From interviews with James Gunn, I expect the hope of Reeves', the Clark of Tyler Hoechil and the The Bold of Henry Cavill.
- Under Ninja (Season 1 Review)
Episodes - 12 Genre - Shonen, Humor Rating - 7.2/10 In one word - Modern Available on - Crunchyroll Synopsis What is the life of a Ninja like in 2024? Picture a scenario where Ninjas are a recognized branch of the Japanese government, akin to the CIA in the US or MI6 in the UK. In this context, the Ninja might be a withering organization, yet they continue to be respected worldwide. The MC and Key Characters The anime centers around Kuro Kumogakure, a young Shinoi on a mission that appears minor but has significant consequences for Ninja, Japan, and the world. Kuro is a laid-back character who will surprise you with various facets of his personality. He can be dangerous, funny, and compassionate all within a single episode. He reminds me of a blend between Shikamaru and Mugen. Under Ninja features other key characters that contribute to the show's cohesion. They are distinctive and possess quirks that will captivate you. Vybe of the Anime This anime is a tasty pot of flavoursome ingredients; Humour, action, inter-weaving parts and music all blend together so smoothly that you could easily finish season 1 in a single day. I bet you will be bumping your head at some point. The characters are unique and relatable in hilarious ways. The laid back energy which is often contrasted by intense moments. Aesthetically and sonically, you may feel Samurai Champloo vybz. Modern Day Ninja Though it is set in the modern day, it will not go overboard with technology like Ninja Kamui. This anime is Ninja for adults. Conclusion If your like the following, watch it! Adult humour Action Hip Hop Music Ninja Tokyo cityscapes
- The Madness (Netflix) Review
Episodes - 8 Genre - Thriller, Drama Rating - 7.9/10 In one word - Gripping Themes A compelling story of a black man in the spotlight whose life spirals downward after being in the wrong place at the wrong time. As his fortune dwindles and his situation worsens, we witness his rapid descent from having everything to losing it all within days. Despite his innocence, he sees his world crumble, affecting others and leaving him with a sense of guilt. This show also highlighted the importance of a black man's mental health, as I deeply empathized with the main character's struggles and felt powerless. As his circumstances deteriorate, he perseveres, demonstrating the resilience of men who continue to push forward even in the darkest times because they have no other choice. Insight The only downside I see with the show is its title. With just one episode remaining, I hope the name will somehow connect everything in the end. Right now, it feels like just another Netflix thriller. Given the storyline, I believe they could have chosen a more fitting name, as the current one seems too generic. If you've watched the show, here are some alternative titles I came up with that I think would suit it better: - Wrong place wrong time - Sudden Endeavours - Framed - Supremacy (this is my favourite one) - 180 Degrees Final Thoughts I really enjoy the acting of the main character, Colman Domingo, and I’d love to see him in more projects, especially in roles where he plays a more streetwise character. The storyline is captivating, and each episode leaves you wanting more. I’m thoroughly enjoying this series, and my opinion on whether there should be a season 2 will depend on how it ends, regardless of the outcome. I’m eager to watch the last episode and will return with another review to share my thoughts on the ending.
- Mashle: Magic and Muscles - Complete Manga Series Review (incl. thoughts on the anime)
Chapters - 162 Genre - Shonen, Comedy Rating - 7.5 Vybz Themes Imagine - Harry Potter, Black Clover, One Punch Man and a soundtrack full of 808 beats (in the anime) all combined to make one manga. I would call this one an action-comedy. Heavy on the action and heavy on the comedy. Gym-goers should definitely pick this one up or download asap. Series Overview This isn’t one of those 300+ chaptered manga that run for almost a decade with new villains and sagas every season. Mashle is a bingable 162 chapters and you will definitely feel satisfied upon completion. You won’t be left asking for a different ending or looking for answers to unanswered questions. The MC & Other Key Characters Mash Burnedead is an extremely likable m.c. His genuineness has a warm appeal and he can most definitely scrap like no other. Mashle will get stronger through the series but he certainly does not start off as an Osamu (World Trigger) or Deku (MHA). He can hold his own from chapter 1. Mash’s adversaries are entertaining. They are also built for the villain life and will entertain you with their exploits. Pacing The pacing of the manga is excellent. You go through intense battles, slice-of-life and training arcs. The series climaxes at a point when you still retain a lot of enthusiasm as a reader. The stakes are global and at the same time you will be treated with magic, muscles and hilarious comedy. Mashle is most definitely a child of this generation. It has references to modern-day culture and the anime’s music is a vybz. It’s been a while since any manga or anime made me ‘Lol’ and Mashle has fantastic humour in every chapter. Art & Animation The manga has great detail and the character designs are pleasure to perceive. The anime is produced by A-1 Pictures and their staff have really brought this cultured series to life with vibrant colour, strong action sequences and a soundtrack to vybe to. Conclusion Read it! Watch it!
