This exciting series has added to the legacy of Akira Toriyama’s work and uphold's the Dragon Ball name with quality, nostalgia and innovation.
Plot
In the build up to the release, fans were aware of the similarity of the plot to Dragon Ball GT. After watching a few episodes of this series, you will quickly identify that Daima is set connected to the DBZ chronology and separate from DBGT.
Being turned to children also poses interesting challenges to our heroes. The plot and action sequences use this predicament well and add to an engaging watch. The series will appeal to long time fans and new fans.
Continuity
Dragon Ball Daima is stacked with links to original Dragon Ball lore. Some observations may be overt and some need a rewind and few moments with a search engine. This characteristic adds to the genuine feel of Dragon Ball.
Pacing
The pacing is great. Each episode has a mixture of lore, action, humor and plot development.
Art & Animation
The Art and Animation of this series is top class and consistent. It firmly keeps Dragonball competing with ‘new gen’ anime while still keeping ‘OG’ dragon ball vybz.
The Future Dragon Ball Animation
The Dragon Ball Manga has stories left to animate; The Moro Arc, Granola Arc, Goten & Trunks Superhero story. Dragon Ball Super could provide fans with another 10 years of Dragon Ball animation.
Dragon Ball continues to show why it is arguably the greatest anime of all time. Its continuity is almost unparalleled and recently managed to leave a distinguished mark in the 2010 - 2020 era of anime. The only weakness may be the slight in consistency of the animation in a few moments such as
Goku vs Future Trunks (In Bulma’s sphere)
Copy Vegeta Saga
Goku & Tien vs Gohan & Piccolo (Tournament Training)
Future Trunks vs Trunks
Goku vs Zamasu (Kai Planet)
I hope Dragon Ball maintains this level of art and animation.
Conclusion
Dragon Ball Daima holds the legacy firm and begins a new era of fun and power.
